Mindfulness for Challenging Emotions (Week 4 of 4)

We all struggle with difficult emotions at many times in our life. This educational class will focus on three challenging emotional states: anxiety/fear, depression and anger and introduce mindfulness tools to help navigate these emotions with more steadiness. The basics of nervous system regulation (connection, fight/flight and freeze) will be covered, as different emotions arise from our changing physiological states. Each week we will practice mindfulness tools to help navigate these emotions and also learn how to invite more positive emotional states into our lives such as compassion and equanimity. (Note: this is not a therapy group).
